Debt collection in Russia
The amendment of the Code of Arbitration, which entered into force in June 2016, facilitates the recovery of receivables in Russia by the introduction of the payment order procedure. Under such procedure, it takes ca. one month to obtain a payment order. Court’s order is also an enforcement title. It is issued without the participation of the parties and applies in case of receivables which do not surpass 400.000 rubles. The claim has to be undisputed – when the defendant contests it, regular procedure is being employed.
